-THE SUN-

Think about the dress after the wedding, where will you collect it? Box it up and hiding in your lumber-room?

And when you had seen your wedding dress last time? In the photo albums?

That is what I want to design a wearable wedding garment that can be daily use. It is a outer garment to mix & match your styles easily. Blessing like the big day and keep reminding about the sweetest memories.

The silhouette came from the traditional Japanese garment "Kimono". In the old-time, it is a common garment for females. On their wedding day, they will wear a specific white one, they call it "Shiromuku".

It's symbolizes the pureness, cleanness and  another meaning is that the brides will take on the other color of the grooms’ families.

As a wedding garment, I choose to use the common fabric as the wedding dress, it is tulle. It is a perfect match with the silhouette. I have chosen embroidery to be the detail as the soul of the garment.

THE SUN came from the tarot. It is the most positive card in tarot. It represents positivity, success, abundance, happiness, and joy. I embroidered it at the backside of the garment, just like the family crest.

It made with 5 parts of embroidery pieces to pretend the structure of the tarot

Part A: Heading

Part B: Content

Part C: Title

Part D: Frame x2

In the beginning, it was a single seamless piece that size is 50cm x 110cm, After communicated with the factory, they told me the biggest size of the embroidery machine can produce 80cm x 80cm. So, I had changed my design to separate into 5 parts and create the title and frame to complete the structure.
